The 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey of Sabang City will be carried out in the field

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Sabang Municipality is currently conducting the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP), which has now entered the field enumeration stage. BPS partners are actively recording data from respondents in selected agricultural areas to collect information on income, expenditure, and other economic aspects of agricultural business units.

The agricultural sector plays a crucial role in the national economy, including providing employment and contributing to foreign exchange through the agribusiness sector. The availability of accurate and up-to-date data is essential to support the planning and policies of the government and other stakeholders.

SEP 2024 is a follow-up to the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) and aims to meet the needs for agricultural data at both national and international levels. By adhering to international standards set by the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), SEP 2024 is designed to obtain comprehensive and accurate economic data on agriculture.

Through its planning, data collection, and processing stages, SEP 2024 is expected to provide a thorough overview of the economic conditions of the agricultural sector in Indonesia. This data will serve as the foundation for decision-making and policy formulation for national development, including within the Sabang Municipality.
