On Thursday, 29 August 2024, the BPS Statistics Sabang Municipality held a Desa Cantik 9Desa Cinta Statistik) Socialisation in Gampong Beurawang, and it was a roaring success! The event was a roaring success, attended by the Head of BPS Statistics Sabang Municipality, representatives from the Communication, Informatics, Statistics and Coding Department of Sabang Municipality, and the Social, PMG and PPPA Offices of Sabang Municipality, Acting Village Head of Beurawang Village. Also We were delighted to welcome the Keuchik, village officials, Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas, and the local community.
This socialisation marks the start of an exciting new chapter in the Desa Cantik coaching programme! The aim is to empower villages with the tools and knowledge to manage quality data effectively. The event kicked off with some inspiring words from the Head of BPS Statistics Sabang Municipality, Mr Ir. Maimun!
In his remarks, the Head of BPS Statistics Sabang Municipality expressed his hope that Gampong Beurawang could take the exciting step of independently developing its village by using quality data generated from the village. He also emphasised the importance of collaboration in supporting statistical development in the village, which was very encouraging to hear! The Department of Sabang Municipality who attained were also keen to get involved and promised to provide whatever help was needed to make sure the village can manage and use the data to the fullest. Then, the socialisation material was delivered directly by the Desa Cantik Advisor of BPS Statistics Sabang Municipality, who emphasised the importance of data in supporting village development.
