Here’s a more formal and technical version of the text:
To address the need for manufacturing industry data, particularly concerning micro and small-scale industries, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) routinely conducts the Quarterly Micro and Small Industry Survey (IMK). The objective of this survey is to assess the quarterly production growth of micro and small enterprises/companies and generate the quarterly production index indicator.
As part of Indonesia's post-pandemic economic recovery, the country has managed to maintain stable growth. In 2023, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanded by 5.05%. The manufacturing sector, which is the largest contributor to the GDP (with a share of 18.67%), recorded a value-added growth of 4.64%.
The training session for the enumerators of the Quarterly IMK Survey was conducted on Sunday, October 6, 2024. This training aimed to equip the two field enumerators with in-depth knowledge of the concepts, definitions, and technical procedures of data collection for the Quarterly IMK Survey. The survey seeks to obtain production growth figures for micro and small industries, which will serve as an important input for macroeconomic development planning. The Quarterly VIMK24 report provides data on production growth of micro-scale enterprises according to the 2-digit KBLI (Standard Industrial Classification) at both national and provincial levels.
