Development of Sectoral Statistics of the Sabang Municipality One Data Forum Secretariat in 2024

The Sabang Municipality One Data Forum Secretariat Sectoral Statistics Development Forum took place on Wednesday 18 December 2024, with the participation of the Head of BPS-Statistics of Sabang Municipality, Mrs. Teti Darmawati, SE, and representatives of BAPPEDA and DISKOMINFOTIKSA Sabang Municipality. The forum saw the presentation of material by Mrs. Nur Alfi Syahri, S.Tr.Stat, Chair of the Sabang City BPS Statistics Sectoral Development Team, on strategies for implementing SDI, the importance of data and metadata standards, and sectoral statistical action plans. The forum also saw the addition of material for implementing the Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS), which is carried out to monitor data quality, statistical governance, and ensure that the data produced can be accounted for.

The forum has yielded a number of recommendations, including the preparation of a Sectoral Statistics Handbook, which is targeted for completion in March 2025, as well as planning a data needs survey to meet sectoral data needs. This forum is an important step in supporting Bureaucratic Reform, improving the quality of data-based development, and strengthening the role of data as a basis for accountable and sustainable policies in Sabang Municipality.
